Walking My Hometown After Hurricane Katrina
Two Channel Video
Hurricane Katrina devastated my hometown on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Shortly after the storm I was able to visit with family and friends and begin to process the damage. However, I was living across the country and it became difficult to make return trips.
Years later I realized Google Street View had updated the image data of my town with photographs taken after the storm. Longing to reconnect, I started a regular routine of "walking" around town via the internet. This project documents two of those walks.
